The first part of Richard’s presentation will be just ‘telling stories’ of how organ and tissue donations change lives. In his case, his wife, Midge, was on dialysis for 4¼ years before receiving a kidney transplant. The second part is about our Masonic Organ & Tissue Donor Awareness Program, which will provide individual lodges the opportunity to ‘make a lifesaving difference’ within their respective communities. Opportunities for individual brothers to also positively impact their towns and cities are a major part of the program. For this program to prosper and grow, the assistance and support of the individual lodges is needed. Otherwise, the program would ‘fade away.’

Speaker’s Bio

Richard F. Denno is the chairman of the Masonic Organ & Tissue Donor Awareness Program (MOTDAP). He (and many of the MOTDAP committee) has been trained by LifeChoice Donor Services, an affiliate of Donate Life America, to speak on organ/tissue donation and registration. Further, He has worked with both Donate Life and the National Kidney Foundation in several states over the past 6 years. For example, He has written two stories for the National Kidney Foundation for national publication:

Richard is a Past Master (2004) of Anchor Lodge No. 112 of East Hampton, CT. He is the 2010-1011 Most Wise Master of the Cyrus Goodell Chapter of Rose Croix of the Valley of Hartford, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. Richard is a tour guide with Friendship Tours and has arranged and led many bus trips to places of Masonic interests.
