Franklin Mills Jacks has laid down his working tools.

Franklin Mills Jacks, 76, of 308 Chinquapin Road, husband of Rose Maturo Jacks, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Cross Hill, he was a son of the late John Lyles Jacks and Ladell Fuller Jacks. He was retired from Republic Steel and had also worked for Connie Maxwell Children's Home. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, was a member of Columbia Lodge No. 25 AF&AM, Glastonbury, CT, and was of the Baptist faith. Brother Franklin was raised a Master Mason on May 22, 1968 in Daskam Lodge No. 86.
Surviving are his wife of the home; a son, David A. "Big Dave" Jacks and his wife, Michelle of Comer, GA; a daughter, Sharlene "Shar" R. Jacks of Buford, GA; three grandchildren, Melissa Fletcher and her husband Thomas "Frankie" of Ninety Six, Tiffany Jacks of Greenwood and Anthony Vioglavich of Buford, GA; and four great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Price, Kortney Price and Landen Fletcher, all of Ninety Six and Mila Lindsey of Greenwood.
Services will be private.
The family is at the home.
