Glastonbury's 2008 Memorial Day Parade is this weekend on May 26.
2008 Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday, May 26. The parade ‘steps off’ at 9AM from the corner of Welles and Main St. and continues down Main St. to park at Hubbard St. for ceremonies as in prior years. Guest speaker is State Rep. Tom Kehoe, Grand Marshal is Tim Coon, and Honorary Marshall is Fritz Wolosczuk.
Columbia Lodge No. 25 will be marching in Group 4, immediately following the Glastonbury Elks No. 2202 and one step ahead of the Colchester Continental Fife & Drum Corps. Please assemble in the St. Paul's Church parking lot at 8:30 and then with us to the assembling area on Wells Street. Attire is business suits, perferably of a dark shade. We will wear aprons and the officers the jewels of their office. We will also carry the Lodge and CTCHIP banners. A image of us assembled at the start of the 2007 Memorial Day Parade is below.
