On April 15, 2009 in ceremonies at the Glastonbury Riverfront Community Center, Connecticut Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz presented Brothers Waren E. Bristol, Jr. and John R. Heacock with public service awards for their patriotism and sacrifice in the armed forces during World War II.
